Step 1 - Evaluation & Planning

We assess your gum health, identify areas of recession, and determine the best grafting approach.

Step 2 - Graft Placement

Tissue is carefully placed over exposed areas to restore coverage and protection.

Step 3 - Healing & Integration

The graft integrates with your natural gums, strengthening the area over time.

Step 4 - Long-Term Stability

Once healed, your gums provide better protection, comfort, and support for your teeth.

How To Care For Your Gums After Grafting

Our care is guided by a few simple principles that shape every experience. This philosophy allows us to deliver care that feels intentional, ethical, and deeply patient-focused.

Protecting the Graft Site
Do not brush, floss, or touch the graft site until your dentist instructs you to do so. Avoid pulling on your lip or cheek to look at the area, as this can disrupt the graft. Stick to soft foods and avoid chewing near the treated site.

Managing Discomfort and Swelling
Swelling, tenderness, and minor bleeding are normal and can be managed with prescribed or recommended medications. Use cold compresses during the first 24 hours to help reduce swelling.

Maintaining Proper Oral Care
Use any prescribed mouth rinses as directed, and avoid vigorous rinsing, spitting, straws, or smoking, as these can interfere with healing. Keeping the area stable and clean is essential for graft success.
